Matthew McFee graduated with an MS in Health Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1985. He started work that year in radiation protection in the US Department of Energy complex, where he specialized in internal dosimetry and in vivo and in vitro bioassay program administration and development. For the past 16 years he has worked as a consultant for MJW Technical Services, where he has provided consultancy to the US Centers for Disease Control/National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health on the US Government’s compensation program for former workers at US nuclear weapons facilities. He is certified by the American Board of Health Physics in the comprehensive practice of health physics. Matt has been a member of the national US Health Physics Society for more than 30 years. He has served on a number of committees for the HPS, both on local and national levels. Through the IRPA 14 Congress in May 2016, he is also serving on the International Congress Programme Committee (chaired by Jack Valentin, who is also a member of Radiation Regulator Editorial Board).
